AMD Announces Helion AI Rack-Scale Solution
AMD unveils its new Agentic AI rack-scale solution, Helion, with two configurations and a planned 2027 launch.

AMD has announced its new Agentic AI rack-scale solution called Helion. The solution is available in two configurations: a CPU-only track and an all-in-one CPU+GPU track. According to Wccftech, the CPU-only configuration can support up to 32,768 EPYC Zen 6 cores.
The Helion rack uses AMD EPYC 9006 “Venice” CPUs, each with up to 256 Zen 6C cores. The all-in-one configuration combines these CPUs with Instinct MI350P GPUs. Additionally, the solution will be contributed to the Open Compute Project (OCP) for community development.
First configurations of Helion are expected to be ready by November 2026, with broader availability planned for the first half of 2027. HotHardware reports that the Hyperscale configuration can supply up to 32,768 Zen 6c CPU cores using up to 128 EPYC CPUs.
HotHardware also notes that the Enterprise configuration mixes EPYC Venice CPUs with Instinct MI350P accelerators and can provide up to 102 Tbps networking bandwidth.
