Intel SVP Cho Min-sung confirmed that the company will launch its Razor Lake-AX system-on-chip (SoC) in 2028. The announcement highlights Intel's plans to deliver substantial AI compute performance with this new product.

The Razor Lake-AX SoC is expected to provide 700 TOPS of AI compute, representing a 3.88× increase over the Panther Lake "Core Series 3" chips, which offer 180 TOPS. This performance leap will be achieved through a large integrated GPU and substantial CPU complex. The SoC will also feature on-package memory, returning to a Memory-on-Package (MoP) design first used in Lunar Lake "Core Series 2."

With 700 TOPS of AI compute, the Razor Lake-AX SoC is set to surpass NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin's 275 TOPS by 2.5×, marking a significant advancement in AI processing capabilities.
